The Destruction of an American family

Daddy Why Dont You Love Me No More?

The true Story of the Crowton Family

American Stories

United States citizens who are naive to the ways of the Child Protective system and the courts, or possibly not wealthy or connected, may inadvertently find themselves subjected to a nightmare. Many entities profit from the time a child first enters the system .
What are some of the techniques Cps

The Destruction of an American family

Every day across America, citizens of the United States log onto the internet and query either there might be child molesters and other kinds of sex offenders living somewhere in their neighborhood. Yet, the State of Michigan has made sure that David and Hege Crowton's children get to live with one.

After taking away David & Hege's children with a false motion and retention them away because he admitted to needing help with drug use and because of the State's failure to contribute the services required for them to have their children returned, the State of Michigan refused to take off their children (including their 5 year old girl) from a home where the children would cohabit with a child molester. The biological son of the raise parents assigned to the Crowton children was convicted of Criminal Sexual show the way (Second degree multiple) for doing something very sick to an innocent tiny 5 year old girl. Sources say that the raise family had gone to court to collect "grandparents rights" and force the visitation of their grand-daughter. They were granted under the health that the child be under supervision.

According to the police reports (which are collective data available straight through the Livingston County courthouse), at least one visit resulted in the 15 year old biological son of the raise parents involving the visiting 5 year old girl up to his room. There, he had his way with her while his parents and David's children were in someone else room. For one reckon or someone else the State of Michigan doesn't believe he ever touched David's children.

They apparently also are putting a lot of stock into the idea that he never will.

Amazingly, the State of Michigan believes that the same child molester who sexually abused a 5 year old girl who visited the home never once touched the 5 year old girl he lived with and babysat on numerous occasions---David's daughter. They believe this in spite of the fact that a police narrative shows a "similar complaint" about sexual molestation advent from David's 5 year old daughter. They have chosen to rely on "forensic interviews" by total strangers (rather than person the child would trust) to rule he had not abused her.

Note: A Study of 630 cases of alleged sexual abuse of children from 1985 straight through 1989: Using a subset of 116 confirmed cases, findings indicated that 79 percent of the children of the study initially denied abuse or were tentative in disclosing. Of those who did disclose, practically three-quarters disclosed accidentally.

Source: Sorensen & Snow, 1991.

After the sexual abuse, sources say the raise family's "grandparents rights" were terminated. It seems quite odd that the State of Michigan would end the Grandparents proprietary of this raise family partly because of their failure to safe this tiny girl but then approve the placeMent of David's children in this same home.

The Ombudsman, a state-appointed office set up to oversee the state's Child Protective Services, reviewed this case and subsequently recomMended a policy turn forbidding this from occurring in the future [ Read narrative ].

In spite of all this, steps are now being taken for this raise family to adopt these children. They refused to grant adoption to the children's Norwegian grandparents who are available and waiting with open arms to adopt them. The adoption to the raise family is Very close to being finalized. Their fate is to ultimately be decided by the same judge that allowed the placeMent of these children into this raise home, judge Elizabeth Pezzetti. Pezzetti was recently re-elected as a probate court Judge in Oakland County.

State Representative Tim Pope, who was on the health and Human Services Committee in the state of Oklahoma and has vast caress in dealing with Child Protective aid laws, has investigated and reviewed the whole file. He found that State and Federal laws have been broken by the State of Michigan Child Protective Services (Fia). Click here to read one of the letters he wrote asking a Michigan State Representative for help. The following is a statement from Tim Pope about this case:

"I have gotten to know David and Hege Crowton pretty well and I am convinced that they have been dealt a very bad hand from the Child Welfare department (that title is a real joke). David and Hege have had their proprietary repeatedly violated and I hope that somehow justice can prevail and they can get things put back together. Unfortunately, to make these kind of people accountable for their actions you must get them in court and that takes a lot of money - money that they do not have. I served for a whole of years on the Oklahoma department of Human Services committee in our State House and I can promise you that, if something like this had happened here, heads would roll and the people who perpetrated this crime in the name of the state would probably be put in jail."

Tim Pope, old Oklahoma State Representative

This is an Outrage and must be stopped!

What Makes American Music Great?

Digital Photography Secretsby David Peterson Click Here!

African Americans, creating a musical language out of their public experiences of slavery and oppression, are the source that raised American music to greatness in the 20th century. As each new style emerged into the larger culture, it was initially denigrated and criticized, much like society denigrated the black Men and woMen it had forcibly brought into its midst. The loudest critics were not all the time whites, though. Churchgoing blacks once upheld a dichotomy in the middle of gospel (God's music) and the blues (the devil's music).

Evidence for the blues dates back to the colonial era. The term "the blue devils," referring to melancholy, entered the English language while the 17th century, perhaps through the slave trade. There is also a folklore connection in stories of how the devil taught a musician to play his instruMent, exemplified by the well-known legend of blues guitarist Robert Johnson at the crossroads. The style of the blues, reflecting its rural origins, is easy and easy to grasp with its standard form, basic chord progressions and repetition, which perhaps explains its universal popularity. The sliding tones and microtonal "blue notes" that became standard features of the blues get from African musical eleMents.

American Stories

In distinction to the blues, jazz emerged at the end of the nineteenth century in the sophisticated urban setting of New Orleans. Its style blended African musical traditions (improvisation, distinct techniques of playing instruments, and syncopated, complex rhythms) with European traditions (brass troops bands and chords derived from European harmonic tradition). The term "jazz" perhaps originated from a West African term related to sex. The wild, uninhibited dancing that came to be related with jazz in the 1920s aroused a lot of antipathy from more tradition-bound society. In 1926, for instance, the Cincinnati Salvation Army obtained a temporary injunction against the building of a movie theater because jazz music emanating from the theater would implant "jazz emotions" in babies in the neighboring maternity hospital. But jazz grew in popularity, capturing the energy and brashness of the American spirit.

What Makes American Music Great?

World War Ii established the U.S. As a superpower, and it began to dominate the world culturally and economically. While jazz artists were pushing the boundaries of their art into new levels of complexity with bebop, someone else African American musical style arose, a return to the simplicity of blues, but Faster. That style came to be known as rock and roll - once again with a sexual connotation. So of procedure the music was criticized as degenerate, which perhaps only added to its allure. Initially this "race music" was banned from radio and television, a situation that John Waters comically critiques in "HAirspray." Once it was reinterpreted by white musicians like Elvis Presley, however, it spread like wildfire. while that conformist decade, it was unfortunately more comfortable for many white kids to listen to black music performed by white musicians.

British musicians, influenced by recordings of classic American blues (which ironically had long since waned in popularity in the U.S.), brought their version of rock and roll to the U.S. In the early 1960s in a cross-pollenization that advanced into rock. That style, with its myriad genres, held sway for 25 years before being edged out by yet someone else new African American style, rap.

Rap arose in New York City in the early 1970s, brought to the city by Jamaican immigrant Kool Herc. The rhythmic patter of words over a beat harkened back to African oral traditions and the itinerant griot musician who had to have the quality to extemporize on current events and opening incidents happening in the midst of his song. By 1998, rap was outselling every other music genre in the U.S.

So each of these styles, originating in the African American society and ultimately emulated by the larger culture despite hostility from some camps, has been enormously influential, along with less pervasive African American styles like soul, funk and disco. The fact that the music was transgressive and forbidden, and often related with sexuality, also added to the music's power. (The only other 20th century musical culture of equally rich stature, though not as influential, is that of Brazil - the consequent of someone else heterogeneous racial mixture.) Displaced African Americans used the musical elements from their legacy to generate something new that, because of its expressive power and its embodiment of the American spirit in a century dominated by America, became some of the most influential music in the history of the world. Stop to think how impoverished your life would be if none of this music had ever happened.

Changing American society Creates a query for Chinese Au Pairs

Digital Photography Secretsby David Peterson Click Here!

The thought of an au pAir is not new. A young woman or occasionally a young man comes to stay in this country contribution childcare services in return for room and board and a small weekly stipend. The au pAir gets a host family and the opportunity to attend classes at an American college or University while the family gets a flexible, live-in childcare provider. Both parties get the advanTAGe of rich cultural exchange.

In the starting most au pairs in this country were from Western Europe however lately, there has been an unexpected spike in request for au pairs who speak Mandarin.

American Stories

The Growing sway of Chinese Culture:

Changing American society Creates a query for Chinese Au Pairs

Parents quote a number of reasons for finding for candidates from China. Part of the expanding interest is the number of children, particularly girls, adopted from China. China's one-child course and a cultural preference for baby boys have led to thousands of children with nowhere to go. As these stories made their way into American newspapers, families reached out to help these orphans.

Other parents feel that growing Chinese sway colse to the globe will make Mandarin the lingua franca of the next generation. They expect that the cultural exposure will give their children an advanTAGe in social and company dealings in the future.

Au Pair Agencies Struggle to Meet Demand:

One division went twenty years without a particular ask for a Chinese candidate; within the next two years they had over 1400 requests. Agencies were unprepared for such a sudden spike since their efforts had traditionally been focused in Europe and they had no contacts in China.

Many agencies are aggressively recruiting in China trying to keep up with request but it is hard. China's new rules on cultural transfer visas are helping these agencies, but they are having problem finding Chinese woMen who want to come to this country on an au pair visa.

The progressive atmosphere in China has created a bias against childcare work among its citizens. Young woMen there have opportunities their mothers wouldn't have even dreamed of so they are resistant to move into domestic fields, even as an opportunity to attend college.

The system gradually Adjusts"

As visa regulations have relaxed in China, they have become more restricted in the Us. recent years have seen treMendous changes in State division policies which have made it harder for foreign-born citizens to immigrate to this country.

This convert is encouraging Chinese women to consider the advantages of an au pair relationship. The educational opportunities and opportunity to caress Western culture are gradually bringing more applicants to the program. however request is still high and many families caress long waits to find the right candidate.

Is this phenomenon simply the newest American fad, destined to be substituted by a sudden interest in some other country? Or does it reflect the new reality of China's place in the world? No one is certain, but au pair agencies are ready to adjust.

"The Quiet Man" Is a Love Story Set in the Emerald Isle of Ireland

Digital Photography Secretsby David Peterson Click Here!

The Quiet Man - 4 Stars (Excellent)

No one ever said that filmmaking was easy, only that it could be very good and sometimes enduring, as in "The Quiet Man", starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara with legendary Director John Ford.

American Stories

Like a lot of great films, this is a story of the friction and conquest in the courtship of a man and a woman. A woman considered to get her way, a brother considered to keep his sister from the man she loves, and a man considered to win the heart of the woman he marries.

"The Quiet Man" Is a Love Story Set in the Emerald Isle of Ireland

Irish-born Sean Thornton (John "Duke" Wayne) is an American who swears off being a professional fighter after accidentally killing an opponent in the ring. Returning to the Irish town of his birth, he starts a new life and finds happiness when he falls in love with the fiery Mary Kate Danaher (Maureen O'Hara).

Mary Kate's brother, Will "Red" Danaher (Victor McLaglen) stands in their way. Without her brother's permission, she cannot marry Sean. The male dominance in Irish culture while this duration is evident. WoMen were to obey, period. Red Danaher resents the fact that Sean was able to buy his birth home adjacent to the Danaher's property. Danaher had continually bid for the asset next door but lost out to the American "newcomer" and outsider.

Eventually Danaher is duped into letting Sean marry Mary Kate, but initially he refuses to let Mary Kate take her heriTAGe (furniture and a dowry). The villagers persuade Red to give Mary Kate her furniture, but he stands Fast on the dowry.

For Mary Kate the 350 pounds sterling she is owed represents a lot of money, but the breaking of tradition and doing the right thing becomes an issue she cannot and will not ignore, even for the sake of her marriage. Mary Kate is a woman who, if nothing else, makes it clear she will be dealt with despite her ill temper and stubbornness. She believes that Sean is a coward for not confronting her brother Red. Sean naturally does not want to accidentally kill an additional one man in a fight over money.

When Mary Kate decides to leave her marriage and take the train out of town, Sean goes into action. After dragging Mary Kate off the train and straight through the pasture, the longest fistfight in screen history erupts.

Once Mary Kate realizes that Sean will fight for her, she is quite happy to return to their cotTAGe and makes it clear that evening meal will be ready when Sean returns home. The Duke (Sean) slugs it out with Kate's brother, at last wins, and wins back Kate's heart as well. The story of The Quiet Man reminds me of William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew and its movie version in 1967 starring Elizabeth Taylor as Katharina and Richard Burton as Petruchio.

Katharina is cast as an ill-tempered, strong-willed, opinionated, vocal, recalcitrant, unmanageable woman. Petruchio manages to bring her around and when he does, Katharina is article to do his bidding. I see a lot of Mary Kate Danaher in Katharina.

The supporting cast is a range of IrishMen worthy of the name: Michaleen Oge Flynn (Barry Fitzgerald), Father Peter Lonergan (Ward Bond), Father Paul (James O'Hara) and The Widow Sarah Tillane (Mildred Natwick) among others. And, yes, there are a lot of relatives in this cast.

The Quiet Man was based on a 1933 Saturday Evening Post short story by Maurice Walsh. Ford read the story in 1933 and purchased the possession to it for .

In 1944, John Ford, John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara made a handshake bargain to do the film version, but it would take an additional one 8 years for Ford to raise the money essential to yield the film. It was the first American feature to be filmed in Ireland's picturesque countryside. The film roughly never happened as Ford was told by producers that a "Silly Irish story would not make a penny."

Finally Republic Pictures was approached and studio chief Herbert Yates relented under the health that Ford, Wayne and O'Hara would also do a western for Republic, a sure money-maker that would offset losses foreseen, from The Quiet Man. The corollary was the 1950 output of "Rio Grande".

John Ford was more than curious in doing the film. His real name was John Martin Feeney, his parents immigrated from County Galway, Ireland and placed in Maine. Ford also went by the name Sean O'Feeney. Maureen O'Hara (real name Maureen Fitzsimons) was born in County Dublin, Ireland, spoke Irish and used her Gaelic language in the film. Her father was part owner of Ireland's important football team, the Shamrock Rovers.

John Wayne was half Irish. He appeared in more than 20 of Ford's films, many of them low funds westerns and war movies. The Duke said that of all the films he made, The Quiet Man was his favorite.

Ford earned his 4th and last Best Director Oscar for The Quiet Man in 1952. His other 3 Best Director Oscars were for "The Informer" in 1935, "The Grapes of Wrath" in 1940 and "How Green Was My Valley" in 1941. Only How Green Was My Valley won an Oscar for Best Picture.

Ford remains the only director in history to win 4 Best Director Oscars. Two others-William Wyler and Frank Capra-have won 3 times.

Ford received the American Film Institute's first Life AchieveMent Award in 1973. He has been recognized as one of the many directors of all time. His work had an work on on directors Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Sam Peckinpah, Peter Bogdanovich, Sergio Leone, Jean-Luc-Godard and Akira Kurosawa.

The Quiet Man won a second Oscar for Best Cinematography and was nominated for 5 other Oscars: Best Picture, Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Victor McLaglen), Best Art Direction, Best Sound and Best Writing (screenplay by Frank Nugent). The Best photograph Oscar in 1952 went to "The many Show on Earth".

Action adventure freaks and lovers of unredeeming modern-day films such as "Mr. And Mrs. Smith" will not be able to stand The Quiet Man, which is very slow developing yet offers a perfectly picturesque Irish setting for a real love story. It is an Irish movie filmed in Ireland for the glory of Ireland, its citizen and its culture. I am only 15% Irish and a third generation American, but all the time claim that my 15% Irish heriTAGe is the best part of me.

Answers Why We Eat Turkey on Thanksgiving

Digital Photography Secretsby David Peterson Click Here!

Over many years the yummy turkeys have all the time been the start of many tables while Thanksgiving. Why do we eat turkey on Thanksgiving instead of roasted Pork or beef? We can serve other Food while Thanksgiving but Turkey still remains as the favorite thing to have to celebrate the event. It is still the most predominant Fastener for commemorating the day when the Pilgrims in the sixteenth century first had their prosperous harvest. So, why do we eat turkey on Thanksgiving some folklore about Thanksgiving celebrations centuries ago can give us the answers?

1. The first potential riposte to the ask why do we eat turkey on Thanksgiving is the fact that while feasts in many American Indian communities centuries ago, they ordinarily had chicken or beef. This was the first recognized celebration of the Thanksgiving Day. William Bradford wrote about the history of the plantation in Plymouth and stated that there were feasts held because of their good harvest. They cooked their fowl and feast on it.

American Stories

2. The second potential riposte to the ask why do we eat turkey on Thanksgiving could be because of the predominant Benjamin Franklin story. Benjamin Franklin believed that turkeys should be the national Fastener of America instead of the eagle. He said that turkeys are respectable birds and that there are many turkeys in the northern American region that's why he thinks it should be the American symbol. A lot of habitancy did not agree with him so it did not become the national Fastener of United States. It is true that turkeys abound in America that's why many habitancy also like Cooking it for special occasions.

Answers Why We Eat Turkey on Thanksgiving

3. The third potential riposte to the ask why do we eat turkey on Thanksgiving may be because of an old story about Queen Elizabeth of England. In the sixteenth century a Spanish ship was going to assault England but on a surprising turn it sunk in the sea. Queen Elizabeth was so happy that this happened so she commanded her servants to cook goose. The American pilgrims were inspired by this story so they chose to cook turkey to celebrate Thanksgiving. However this story may be the least literal, among the three stories.

Turkeys are surely centerpieces on any Thanksgiving feast even if habitancy can't surely tell the literal, riposte to the ask why we eat turkey on Thanksgiving. Many habitancy like to cook it roasted and glazed with sauce.

Wild Animals in the Suburbs - How Habitat Loss Impacts American Wildlife

Digital Photography Secretsby David Peterson Click Here!

In up-to-date years reports of wild animals in unusual locations have become quite common. Packs of coyotes prowling the hills covering (and inside) of Los Angeles encourage people to build tall walls or fences nearby their homes. In the eastern part of the United States, homeowners often spot deer on their suburban lawns.

Twenty years ago, sightings of wild animals ordinarily occurred in environMentally standard areas. When I was growing up in the late/mid twentieth century, the sight of a fox or deer was a thrill to be related with great exciteMent. Nowadays, the deer gad behind shopping centers and garden shops on the outskirts of cities sell deer repellent.

American Stories

Why are these wild animals invading highly populated regions? The reply is simple. The building boom of the 1980's and 1990's ate into outlying areas, creating vast tracks of housing developMents in rural areas. The people who moved into the new houses needed schools, hospitals, and shopping centers so even more land was paved over. Animals with survival skills learned to live with people, roads, and populated locations. They adapted to their new surroundings.

Wild Animals in the Suburbs - How Habitat Loss Impacts American Wildlife

As rural areas filled with bulldozers and noisy building equipMent, some of the wild animals fled the disruption. They moved towards the cities, traveling along the green, wooded paths near highways. Once in the suburbs, they found some sheltering trees and shrubbery. Food was available. Deer located gardens. Foxes dined on rats, mice, and the occasional rabbit. Hawks trolled back yards in crusade of bird feeders or hung out near the highways looking for unwary mice or rats.

Obviously, some incursion of wildlife has been helpful to suburban regions. The hawks, owls, and fox feed on vermin. Their Food preferences are good for the neighborhood. But once those gorgeous deer start munching on the azaleas, they are no longer so appealing.

Coyotes, in the west as well as the eastern coyotes that have increased their range greatly, consume vermin, but will gobble up the family cat or a small dog.

The loss of habitat in America is an old story. When the first British colonists arrived in the seventeenth century, the East Coast was one huge tract of virgin forest. Bison and elk lived on the East Coast, though they were smaller versions of their western cousins. The colonists soon cleared away the forest for farms, homesteads, and the burgeoning timber business. Trappers went into the forest to harvest animals' furs.

Now, there are only a few private pockets of virgin forest. The wildlife that depended on such areas is mostly gone. America has created some extinctions together with the end of the sublime passenger pigeon. Flocks of passenger pigeons were once so huge, they darkened the sky with their passing. Despite the huge numbers of the pigeons, not one is left today. They were hunted into oblivion.

In the American south, the Ivory Bill woodpecker lived in hardwood bottomland and cypress swamps. But after the Civil War, timber clubs invaded, creating more devastation than the war did. Southern hardwood forests disappeared at an alarming rate. By the early part of the twentieth century, the Ivory Bill was an increasingly rare sight. Trophy hunters shot occasional Ivory Bills, just to prove they were still around. As sightings decreased, and decades passed, the Ivory Bill woodpecker was assumed to be extinct, doomed by habitat loss.

The American bison is a customary seal of the United States of America. Bisons have been depicted on coins, and they dwell in our minds as symbols of American wildlife, and stand as the signature animal of the great American prAirie. But, the American bison was dragged to the brink of extinction by hunting. Buffalo killing trips were conducted from train windows, and the bison were shot as the trains passed, their bodies left to rot on the plains.

America has done a lot of damage to wildlife in its short history. The wild things that lately invade the suburbs display a astounding ability to adapt to unlikely surroundings. So, the next time you see something unusual, something a bit different, not quite a dog, and you wonder what you are looking at - maybe it is a wild animal, a bear, a coyote, or a fox right out there in your own back yard.

African American Literature - starting

Digital Photography Secretsby David Peterson Click Here!

The first African American to issue a book and accomplish international recognition was Phillis Wheatley. Her first published poem appeared in 1767. Published literature by other African Americans followed.

Reading and writing were forms of power. It was illegal to teach slaves to read and write in the Southern states. There were some slave owners in the South who did not obey this law. Some allowed their slave children to learn and others were taught for practical reasons - their Jobs. The Northern states were more lenient since there were more free Men of color living in the region.

American Stories

In the urban areas of the North, free Blacks used writing to call for the abolition of slavery. David Walker wrote an motion that called for an uprising against slavery. Other literature pointed out the conditions of slavery and its injustice.

African American Literature - starting

Literary societies were formed in the early nineteenth century by free Blacks. While this period, the first African American newspaper, "Freedom's Journal," was founded (1827-1829). The paper published traditional poems, appeals, editorials, and letters. They were all thought about literature at the time.

Another form of literature was the slave narrative. Slaves who had found their way to the North would tell stories to white abolitionists. They, in turn, would write down the record and it would be published in abolitionist papers and distributed at meetings. Frederick Douglass broke this cycle. He wrote his own record which was published in 1845. Following his lead, William Wells Brown, Henry Bibb and James W. C. Pennington chose to write their own narratives. Later slave narratives, such as the one of my great-grandmother, were docuMented as part of the Wpa Slave record project.

Stories about slave life began to appear in the 1850s. Frederick Douglass published his first historical novel, "The Heroic Slave" in 1853. "Clotel; or The President's Daughter" written by William Wells Brown was published the same year. Brown published the first African American drama, "The Escape; or A Leap for Freedom", in 1858. Following publication of works by Douglass and Brown, Martin Delaney published "Blake; or The Huts of America" in 1858. It is the story of a slave who leads a revolt in the South. Harriet E. Wilson is given the honor of being the first African American woman to have a novel published in the United States. Her book, "Our Nig; or Sketches from the Life of a Free Black" was published in 1859.

The first African American literary magazine, "The Anglo-African Magazine", began publication just before the Civil War. The literature appearing in the magazine was written by prominent African American intellectuals.

What's a Native American treatment Bag?

Digital Photography Secretsby David Peterson Click Here!

A Native American medicine bag is a small leather bag or pouch that contains assorted curative objects. They are often painted or beaded with designs definite for the wearer. This is done to entice or invoke the spirit of the animal, shape or symbol.

What's inside is other story. A medicine bag can contain innumerable objects. These objects are as unique as the person wearing it. Many people add their own "medicine" or curative objects. Although, most often a medicine person or indigenous healer will make the bag and add the contents. Coarse medicine bag objects are stones, ash from a ceremony fire, roots and barks, herbs, feathers, dirt from a ceremonial ground, or wood from a tree struck by lightening.

American Stories

Many people like their medicine bags very ornate and fancy, but in reality the bag should be downplayed. This is especially true when a medicine bag is made for protection, for instance, safety from jealousy, enemies, negativity, bad spirits, illness and the list goes on and on. A medicine bag is kind of like an "ace up your sleeve". Or maybe like a spray can of mace or other self defense weapon. You keep it handy, but you don't wave it nearby or threaten folks with it.

What's a Native American treatment Bag?

Medicine bags or pouches last a long time. They are made of leather and are highly durable. But there comes a time when the medicine bag just wears out. The neck cord has broken so often it may look like a string of knots. The leather has worn down and looks like it's been left out in the rain too long. What do you do with it at this sTAGe? You can take the contents of the bag out and put them into other bag or you can leave the contents in the bag. You take the bag to a remote location. Somewhere that people seldom go to. Then hang the medicine bag or pouch in a tree where it's barely visible.

The helping birds such as ravens, crows, eagles, or hawks and the "invisible beings" such as angels or guardians will disassemble the bag and remove all traces of it. Some people have been known to bury their bags. But this isn't recomMended. In the earth the bag will continue to exist and the extra medicine belonging to it could be dug up and innocently or not so innocently misused. There are stories of aged medicine pouches that were found, taken home or put in a museum and then all sorts of terrible things began to happen. Anyway, it is much great to let the angelic beings and our helper birds take care of something as high-priced as a medicine bag.

The Story Behind The Native American Dreamcatchers

Digital Photography Secretsby David Peterson Click Here!

The native American dreamcatchers has been a great souvenir for many people for many years. people know that the story is that the dreamcatcher is to catch bad dreams, but other than that, not many people seem to know a lot about the dreamcatcher meaning. When you know the true meaning and the origins of the dreamcatcher, you will be able to enjoy it all that much better.
One thing that seems to be a wee too difficult to track down is exactly where the native American dreamcatchers started. There are in fact many different legends about the beginnings of the dreamcatchers and even how they work exactly. The only base thread is that there is a spider complex and that the bad dreams will go away and the good dreams will remain.

One legend claims that there are both good and bad dreams that float freely through the Air. As these dreams try to make their way to the someone sleeping, the bad dreams, not knowing their way, will come to be tangled in the web of the dreamcatcher and they will be stuck there. The good dreams will know their way and they will be able to slip through the dreamcatcher just fine in order to make their way to you.

American Stories

Another legend states that the native American dreamcatchers allow the bad dreams to slip through the hole in the middle of the weaved web. The good dreams will stay behind. This will all be as long as you believe in the help of the good spirits.

The Story Behind The Native American Dreamcatchers

In each of these legends, there is a spider that stops to talk to an elder woman and she passes the story from the spider to the rest of the tribe. So no matter how the story goes exactly, the end dreamcatcher meaning is all the time the same, the bad dreams are kept from you and the good dreams are allowed to stay with you.

Because of the stories and lore behind the native American dreamcatchers, many people, both native American and not will hang a dreamcatcher above their bed, especially for the beds of children. Whether or not the dreamcatchers work will depend on who you ask. There are some people who will swear by them and then there are those who claim that the whole ordeal is nothing more than a legend that has for real no truth to it.

Whether you believe in the native Americana dreamcatchers or not is completely over you. There is one thing that is for definite though and that is that they are very nice to look at and something that will help to make the wee ones feel great as they drift off to sleep at night.

The Birth of The American Detective Story

Digital Photography Secretsby David Peterson Click Here!

It has been said that the American detective story began sometime in the later nineteenth century. Many critics give reputation to an author named Anna Katherine Green for beginning this American version of what was already an interest in Europe. Shortly after the budding of what we call the beginning of American detective stories, the realization was that even the first American detective story was influenced in some way by Europe. Whether it was influenced by one of the earlier novels such as Collins, or even by one of Doyle's Sherlock Holmes tales, it is uncertain, but it was practically categorically derived from Europe. The plots and themes all point to the European affect and rules.

It was later largely realized that the most considerable difference in the middle of the American version and the English version is the language. The American crime story is much more harsh and blunt. The language that an American crime story entails is varied and is much like the blend in our current society whereas the language in a superior English derived crime story is more upper class English and not as corrupt with obscenities or just plain old regular American dialogue. American crime stories blend perfectly the daily speech that is commonly heard in this vast melting pot of dissimilar cultures and heriTAGes

American Stories

These pulp fiction stories were truly the first real stories that can be called American in practically every sense. The corruption of the collective life in America and the prohibition that was ongoing in larger cities spurred a sort of revolution. This disgruntleMent had to show its face somewhere and pulp fiction stories became the recipe of option for many writers. The Black Mask was one such pulp magazine publication that categorically lasted for quite some time before finally being killed off sometime in the nineteen fifties.

The Birth of The American Detective Story

Pulp magazine stories gave way to the hard - boiled detective stories around the nineteen twenties. This type of story focused on the tough guy detective. They were stories of gangsters and the like. They were certainly no comparison to Sherlock Holmes, who despite his cleverness, was not perceived as being much of a tough guy.

Book publications of American detective fiction appeared in the late twenties and the early thirties made this operation more beloved among writers and publishers alike. Even though these stories that were made into books had most likely already appeared in pulp magazine publications somewhere along the line, the writer had to be one of the best available. It was not common to allow someone who was not one of the best in the field to be published, therefore, only the top pulp writers were offered such a special achieveMent. Others were simply not good enough, by publishing capability standards, to spend the time and money on.

Books opened the door to television and the detective agenda was born. This type of show offered a short story that was acted out on live television. Most of these were badly acted and had poor characters but they were able to evolve over the years into something much more desirable to Watch. With some of the current crop being categorically quite good.

A World War Ii Soldier's Story

Digital Photography Secretsby David Peterson Click Here!

My grandfather came to America from Veitri Di Potenza in the region of Basilicata in southern Italy. He came to Buffalo Ny and earned the nickname "The Side Wheel" as he oiled the New York Central steam engines. My dad was later called "The Wheel" as all of his friends grew up with nicknames. It was funny because as a child I never knew their real names. Just "The Bird", "The Weasel", and his brother "Jumbo". He was a second generation American Italian. Like many Men and woMen of all races and ethnicity in the 1940's, he started at Fort Dix in New Jersey and found himself in England in June of 1944.

For the purpose of telling his story, I will call him by his first name, James. Like many of his counterparts, he spoke microscopic of the war and I soaked in every detail when he did open up about it a little. He loved "The Longest Day" and I wish he could have seen "Saving incommunicable Ryan" as he would have enjoyed that immensely.

American Stories

In 2006, The National Purple Heart Hall of Fame was established in Vails Gate, Ny. When I heard about it, I wrote them a letter with some pictures and other attachments.

A World War Ii Soldier's Story

Dear Friends of Purple Heart Recipients:

Thank you so much for creating this Hall of honor and recognition.

My father, incommunicable First Class James was a member of the Fourth Division, healing Unit, 8th Infantry Regiment. A World War Ii Veteran of four years and one month, his story is very engaging if not amazing. I have included many documents in the folder to help document his experience.

I will tell you some of the details in this letter that he connected to me (like many veterans he seldom talked about the war) to illustrate and enlarge on the documents enclosed.

Born and raised in Buffalo, N.Y. He worked and even did some serious "sparring" as a boxer before the war and fought for the Championship at Fort Dix. He was about 5' 9" and 185 lbs. Wounded in Belgium, he returned to the States at Fort Dix. My mother's New Jersey house came to visit him and walked right by his cot - he only weighed 88 pounds!

He told me the Fourth branch drifted past the targeted landing on D-Day. This resulted somehow in fewer casualties than some of the other landings. I have included the Eighth Infantry Command Posts which details their locations straight through four battles on the way to Germany. On that sheet I have marked January 31, 1945 Lommersweiler, Belgium. On that day, incommunicable James was going to the aid of an additional one Gi when a Nazi Tiger Tank opened fire on the hill they were on. A huge piece of shrapnel penetrated his thigh (I don't want to make you sick here but I could fit four fingers down to the knuckle into his leg). He was separated from his outfit and laid in the Snow for fourteen hours. Somehow, with the help of Major (Doctor) Kenneth M. Alford (also of Buffalo, N.Y.) his leg was saved. Buffalo newspapers included him on their "List of Honored War Dead" as he was separated from his unit and his whereabouts were unknown (I have included these articles in the folder). He told of the surprise on peoples faces who notion he was dead when he came back to Buffalo. From January 31, 1945 until his discharge on January 16, 1946 he spent his time in hospitals in Europe and New Jersey.

With one leg about an inch and a half shorter than the other, he worked for years at the Va Hospital in Buffalo, Ny and was a great employee and the best father a guy could ever have.

Before being wounded, during the Battle of the Bulge on December 4, 1944 his unit was ordered to retreat and with an additional one Medic, managed to get three wounded men from behind enemy lines back to town by development three isolate trips as they only had one litter bearer. My dad said they could hear hundreds of Nazi's passing within twenty yards as they performed their trips to return the men to safety.

After all this, he didn't positively think he had any awards arrival his way. In 1955, he wrote to get his Good conduct Medal and healing Combat Badge. On March 5th, 1956 he received the Bronze Star. On May 18th, 1959 he received his Purple Heart. His house and friends are very proud to have known such a man. He passed away in 1983 from 100% service connected disabilities. The "Wheel" was a proud soldier and a great man.

I was never in the service but positively have an appreciation for those who served. The World War Ii generation was positively very extra as are all those who risk their lives for America. This World War Ii Soldier's Story is dedicated to all the Medics who served for us in all wars.
